Shawn Terrel brings an extensive auction background to our executive team, with over 15 years of professional auction and bid calling experience in the United States. He currently sits on the board of directors of the National Auctioneers Association and is a past chairman and president of the Oklahoma State Auctioneers Association. In 2007 Shawn was named the Oklahoma State Champion auctioneer. Shawn is recognized as one of the industry’s authorities on conducting online auctions and live internet auction simulcasts. He participated in over 1,800 auctions and has facilitated many of these auctions incorporating online internet auction solutions.

Richard Thompson began his career in real estate as a sales associate in Pocahontas, Arkansas in 1975. During his 38 years in the real estate profession he has served as a sales associate, broker-owner, regional vice president and is currently national vice president of sales for United Country. He credits his longevity and success to the teachings of his first broker and the United trainers he’s had since, all of whom taught him that success is only possible with a good inventory of quality listings. Richard’s specialty is creating quick, clear differentiation by focusing each listing presentation on seller needs.

Amber joined United Country in 2009 and brings 15 years of communications, public relations and project management expertise to the sales team. Prior to joining UCRE, Glus worked as the communications director for Colorado’s former Lt. Governor. Glus also formerly served as a constituent liaison for one of Colorado’s former congressional members, Bob Beauprez. Her talent lies within creating processes and developing teams with effective communication strategies and workflow programs. She utilizes these skills to grow the United Country team by marketing to unique audiences to recruit new franchise affiliates and agents that fit our United Country culture.

Jimmie Dean began his auction and real estate career in 1983 upon graduation from the Reppert School of Auctioneering. Since 1983 he has conducted many successful real estate, personal asset auctions and fundraisers across the country. Jimmie Dean conducts an average of 75 to 100 auctions annually as well as many real estate transactions. His credentials include: NAA member since 1985, NAR Realtor since 1985, real estate appraiser since 1996, IAA president 2008, CAI 1996, CAI committee chair, instructor at Reppert School of Auctioneers and Texas Auction Academy, NAA director and 2015 Bloomington Board of Realtors president.

As President of Strategic Client Services, Mike Jones oversees operations as the broker for distinct properties around the country. He also serves as President of Auction Services for United Holdings, LLC, where he oversees operations and supports the nation’s largest integrated system of auctioneers. Jones is the first member of the National Auctioneers Association to obtain the “Triple Crown of Auctioneering”, served as its 56th President, won the International Auctioneer Championship in 1998 and was elected to the NAA Hall of Fame in 2012. Jones founded the Texas Auction Academy in 1992 and has conducted over 3,000 auctions globally for clients including Fortune 100 companies, international banks and the United States government.

Mark’s objective is to develop listing opportunities for United and grow your business through those listings. He has 14 years of experience as an investor, seller and auctioneer. Prior to United, he took a position with Fannie Mae and led a team to sell over $5 billion in real estate using auctions. In 2013 he became the chief auctioneer at Homesearch.com and managed a team to sell over 35,000 properties. He holds over 20 state auctioneer licenses, has the Accredited Auctioneer of Real Estate designation and is a licensed real estate agent in Texas. Mark graduated from Elon University in 2001 and currently lives in Dallas, Texas.

Ashley is an innovative marketer with extensive marketing, brand management and advertising expertise. She has knowledge of digital marketing, SEO, SEM, social media marketing, print and online advertising, event marketing, public relations, marketing collateral development, project management, brand development and more. As Director of Marketing, she strives to bring strategy and growth to United Country’s marketing initiatives. By working with the UCRE team for the past seven years, she has gained a passion for lifestyle real estate and highly values the rare and unique family culture United Country offers.
Public Relations and Social Media Manager
Ms. Smith has a more than nine years of experience in public relations, marketing and print and broadcast media. Prior to joining United Country, she served as the public relations and marketing coordinator for Northwest Missouri State University – Kansas City in roles including social media marketing, graphic design and recruitment. Prior to 2013, Ms. Smith served in a variety of roles including public affairs specialist for the U.S. Army, marketing manager for a healthcare facility and news anchor and reporter for KNPN news. She earned her bachelor’s degree in journalism and broadcasting from Northwest Missouri State University and a master of business administration from Grantham University.
A diversified marketer with experience in advertising, brand management, social media management, graphic design, event planning and more, Josh is always working towards growing the United Country brand through increased exposure. By managing both online and offline media opportunities, Josh helps to strengthen the UCRE marketing reach and grow the company’s media partnerships. A graduate of MidAmerica Nazarene University with a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing, his prior roles include marketing in the nonprofit sector, growing fundraising revenue and building community relations.

Tonja Fellet is a vital asset to United Country affiliates new and old. With more than 10 years at United Country, Tonja uses her organizational and technology skills to provide technical support, lead company-wide webinars, assist with onboarding new affiliates and create programs for technology tools.
Nora provides consulting services to United Country Real Estate & Auction franchise affiliates, including business planning, marketing, recruiting strategies and creative property solutions. As the Midwest Region Business Consultant for UCRE, she offers her consulting services to over eighty franchise affiliates in eight states. Her prior history involved technology training, nonprofit organizations, government and sales support. Nora is a strong business development professional with a focus on SEO, marketing and training.
Senior Business Consultant
Duane Swenk began his career with United Country as an affiliate in 1999. By the end of 2000, his office ranked #5 in the Nation followed by a #9 ranking in 2001. As result of their rapid success, Duane and Sue Swenk won the Genesis Award at the 2002 Training and Awards Convention in San Antonio, Texas. Duane joined the United Country field management team later that year and won the Holcomb Prize for field manager of the year in both 2004 and 2005. He now serves as a Senior Business Consultant for United Country and has been a UnitedPower! class instructor since 2006.
Regional Vice President
Angie began her career in real estate with United Country in 1988. She started as a secretary for the Pocahontas, Arkansas office before getting her real estate license and working as a salesperson for 19 years. In 2007, Angie and her husband, Allen, opened their own UC office in Imboden, AR. In addition, Angie also serves as a Regional Vice President for United Country. Her duties include working as a business consultant and franchise salesperson in Arkansas, Missouri, Tennessee, Louisiana, Mississippi and southern Illinois. Angie also acts as a trainer at UnitedPower! and regional trainings held across the nation.

Melissa has been a licensed New Mexico real estate broker since 2000 and joined United Country in 2001 when the Chama, New Mexico office joined the national team of franchise affiliates. She was recognized as the #8 sales agent in the nation in 2004 and in 2006 was the #1 agent in the Chama office when they were recognized as the #1 United Country office in the nation. Melissa attended New Mexico Highlands University where she received her Bachelors of Business Administration in 2013 and joined the corporate ranks of the home office as the Western Region Business Consultant that same year. She currently resides in Chama where she is still an active broker.
